Specialised Medical Equipment Appeal

WesleyCare has a multi-year project to install specialised medical equipment such as overhead tracking systems in our hospital wing’s 75 rooms. Thanks to the generosity of donors and philanthropic organisations, we have already installed these systems in 20 rooms.

Overhead tracking systems make a big difference in the lives of WesleyCare residents who struggle to safely perform mobility tasks such as transferring from bed, as well as those that are bariatric. These systems enable our nurses to provide high quality care to residents.

As the number of residents entering care later in life and with more serious conditions continues to grow, so too does the need to increase the number of rooms with these systems.

The current installation cost of roughly $7,500 a room means that this project has a total value of $412,500 at today’s price. These items are not funded by Te Whatu Ora and we rely on gifts from generous supporters to meet these costs.

If you are able to help, please leave a gift using the secure online donation form.
